Supernova Achievements
During this mission, the planet will slowly become engulfed by flame from left to right. It takes 10-15 minutes for this to cross the entire map but it’s fast enough that you will have to move your base 2-3 times. The three achievements can all be earned on your first attempt just by being careful and thorough.
The best strategy is to build a good size army of Banshees, about 8-12 will work. Use their cloak to clean out the bases. Also hire Hel’s Angels and keep them around to defend your Banshees from the protoss air-to-air. I also built a standing army of a dozen or more marines and a half dozen medics. This will help with your final clearing of the Protoss bases.
Supernova
Complete all mission objectives. The only optional mission objective is to collect the 4 artifacts around the map. You’ll find these located to the east, north east and south east of your starting point. The fourth is in the far right bottom of the map. Use your Command Center’s scan ability if you’re having a hard time finding them.
Cool Running
Complete the mission without losing any units to the fire wall. You can do this mission on normal, but I’m not sure why you would. Just be thorough, when you go to move your base east ensure that you selected all your SCVs and lifted all your buildings. If you’re bad at this type of challenge, just leave a little bit early and make sure you do it carefully.
Shock ‘n’ Awe
Destroy 75 units or structures with cloaked Banshees. I completed this objective about half way across the map. The purpose of this achievement is likely to ensure that you use the Banshees properly instead of building a giant ground army and rushing in.
